In 1919, Cadbury established its first Australian factory in Claremont, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania. The factory quickly became the heart of Cadbury operations in Australia. The site was chosen due to its access to fresh milk and dairy produce – essential ingredients in chocolate making. So Design worked with Cadbury for a number of years, providing Creative Services in Packaging Design and New Product Development (NPD) across their range of iconic brands such as Cherry Ripe, Favourites, Crunchie and Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate.

In 1967, Cadbury merged with Schweppes Australia to form Cadbury Schweppes Pty Ltd. This merger allowed Cadbury to further diversify its product offerings and tap into the beverage market.
